Company Overview: Founded by Julia Davis when she was a student at the University of Montevallo, The Practical Planner (https://practicalplanner.selz.com) is a small, online business providing planners with separate components so the user can customize to suit their needs.
Problem: Entrepreneur Julia Davis needed a specific type of binder for her business the Practical Planner.
Story: Davis found Company Folders, Inc. through an Internet search.
“I needed the product for my planner business, The Practical Planner,” Davis said. “My planner is designed to be paper inserts that go in a binder, and I found the perfect binders at Company Folders.”

“When I was ordering my binders, I had to be extremely careful when selecting a size and quantity,” Davis said. “Because I’m such a small business, it’s not in my budget to make an ordering mistake. Company Folders shipped me a sample binder for free which allowed me to measure and test my paper packs before ordering a large shipment. It gave me such peace of mind knowing that it would be right the first time!”
The binder features The Practical Planner’s logo in a Metallic Matte Gold foil stamp on the cover.
Davis said the design process was easy and ordering only took a few minutes.
“I sent [Company Folders] a .png file of my logo and they sent me a scaled proof of what it would look like within two days,” she said. “The ordering process was simple and hassle-free. The form downloaded right to my computer and took me less than five minutes to fill out.”
The final product didn’t disappoint, either.
“The final product was absolutely amazing,” Davis said. “The leather-like feel of the outside takes the binder and planner to another level. It’s a great, cost-effective touch!”
She said she would recommend Company Folders to others.
